The aim of this award is to honor special initiatives from the sports and leisure industry that have become established. The aim is to highlight the social connection between sport and business. The “Sport & Climate Protection” category is primarily about getting the sports world on board when it comes to climate protection to attribute a certain share of responsibility. The organization and implementation of sporting events, the use of sports facilities or the practice of sport in nature play a central role in climate protection - not only in Austria.⁣ ⁣
