Hypomeeting Götzis awarded as "Green Event" for the second time in a row
The major sports event has been honoured with the Austrian "Green Event" eco-label for the second time in a row.
As the Hypomeeting is not just about top sporting performance, we are delighted to announce that the Hypomeeting Götzis has been awarded the Austrian "Green Event" eco-label for the second year in a row.
In addition, numerous criteria from the World Athletics sustainability catalogue are fulfilled. We are facing this challenge with great ambition. Because when it comes to sustainability, we want to raise the bar at our major sporting event year after year and thus play a pioneering role for other events.
Besides some new activities to promote sustainability, travelling by public transport from all over Vorarlberg as well as from neighbouring Switzerland (Chur, St. Margrethen) and from Lindau/Germany is once again free of charge this year.
And anyone travelling by bike will receive a small "plantable" goodie.
